Divorce Mediation

Attleboro, Massachusetts: Divorce Mediation Services

Bristol County ∙ Norfolk County ∙ Plymouth County ∙ Barnstable County ∙ Worcester County

Divorce mediation is a way of resolving a divorce case that is almost always less argumentative, faster and more cost-effective than the traditional divorce process.

Divorce mediation is especially effective in situations where the spouses have a working relationship that is relatively friendly, and they agree on the decision to get a divorce.

In such cases, the role of the divorce mediator is to be a neutral third party who makes suggestions to the spouses about possible solutions to any remaining conflicts, as well as to assure the spouses that their divorce agreement is well considered and thorough.

Divorce Mediation Services Available at Volterra, Goldberg & Jacobs

At Volterra, Goldberg & Jacobs, Law Counsellors, Inc., we offer a range of services relating to divorce mediation to our clients. For clients who are seeking the services of a professional mediator, our attorney Max Volterra is a certified family law mediator who is also a divorce lawyer with more than 40 years' experience representing spouses in Massachusetts courts.

Our attorneys are also available to provide counseling and advice for clients who are undergoing divorce mediation with another mediator. We can attend the mediation if the client wishes, although most mediators prefer to meet with the spouses outside the company of the spouses' lawyers. We can also meet with our clients both before and after the mediation sessions — to discuss goals, review proposals and generally oversee the divorce mediation with an eye only on our client's best interests.
