Attleboro, Massachusetts: Family Law Attorneys
Bristol County ∙ Norfolk County ∙ Plymouth County ∙ Barnstable County ∙ Worcester County
Family law — the law of divorces and child custody battles and adoptions and child support — is complex and frequently changing. If you need a lawyer to help with a family dispute, you will have a great advantage if you hire an attorney with advanced experience with Massachusetts' family laws.
Protecting the Rights of Spouses and Parents Since 1975
For more than 30 years, Volterra, Goldberg & Jacobs has handled family law cases on behalf of residents of Attleboro and other Southeastern Massachusetts communities.
Our family law attorneys have developed a reputation for consistently delivering the best possible results for our clients in family law cases like divorces and child custody disputes. We are aggressive, zealous and hard-working advocates — and we believe that every client deserves a well-prepared and fiercely dedicated advocate.
A Full-Service Family Law Practice
Our law firm is well-equipped to handle any type of family law matter for which legal assistance is required, including all aspects of divorce cases, child custody and child support disputes, paternity actions, adoptions and pre-nuptial agreements.
We are available to represent clients in new divorce cases and also to help petition the court for a modification of an existing divorce decree or to enforce an existing decree — for example, if a parent has failed to pay child support or comply with visitation arrangements.
We handle divorces of all kinds — whether children are involved or not, whether the spouses have high assets or high debt, and whether the spouses are in agreement or are argumentative about the terms of the divorce. We handle divorces on behalf of same-sex couples married after the 2003 decision of the Massachusetts Supreme Court in Goodridge v. Department of Public Health.
Family Law and Divorce Mediation
In addition to representing one spouse or parent in a contested family law proceeding, we also offer divorce mediation services. One of our attorneys, Mr. Max Volterra, is a certified family law mediator as well as an attorney with more than 40 years' experience.
Mediation is often an excellent option for spouses to consider when they know they can agree on most issues in the divorce — with only a few disagreements left to resolve with the help of a neutral and knowledgeable third party. Mediation is often a faster and more cost-efficient way to resolve family law disputes than a long courtroom battle.
